  A THOUGHT FROM YESTERDAY'S SERMON

In Philippians chapter 1, Paul says he is thankful and joyful for the church at Phillipi because of their partnership in the gospel.  Have you ever thought about what it means to be a "partner in the gospel?" Pastor Pete Mitchell, our partner in the gospel in France, helped us think about this yesterday.  In summary he said 3 things.  We must:

1 - Remember that we are called to partner in God's work, not our own. This means that the first step in partnering in the gospel is letting our own ideas go if they are not in line with God's way of life.

2 - Listen to God's Word. If we are to be partners in the gospel, we must know what the gospel is. Simply put, it is knowing that Jesus died to rescue us from sin and death and that he rose again to declare he has power over sin and death!

3 - Work in teams!  God didn't rescue us to leave us alone. He called us to work together. As Reverend Mitchell said, "(We should) speak and deonstrate how great it is to know Jesus, follow Jesus daily and share that love with others."

Are you remembering God's call daily? Are you listening to God's Word? Are you working with others to share God's love?

CHILDREN'S QUESTIONS & PRAYER REQUESTS:
Nora Smith is the grown-up daughter of our Pre-school CE teachers Monty and Shawn Lee. Nora and her husband, Adam are expecting their first baby boy but the baby is trying to be born a little too early. As Nora is in the hospital, please pray that God would protect both her and the baby. Nora and Adam would love to receive cards from the children of TPC.  You can send them to:
