The Bumbershoot: August 6, 2018

August 6, 2018
The Bumbershoot
The purpose of children's ministry at TPC is to give specific thought and attention to the way children grow in their understanding of Christ's Kingdom and what membership in that Kingdom entails.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:

SURVIVAL CAMP hosted by the Men's Ministry will be August 10-11. If you are interested in attending, please contact Pleun Troost.

MINISTRY FAIR: After worship on August 12, hang around to hear about all the ministries of Trinity and how your family can be involved. Children have the option of staying with parents or fellowshipping with friends in the Game Room.

FALL CE BEGINS: On August 19th we will kick off our Fall CE classes. We would love for you to plan to stay after worship from 11-12 during the school year and join friends your age for fellowship and snacks as you study of God's Word!

MOVIE PREMIERE & BLOCK PARTY: Pull out your "Red Carpet" attire and join us for the movie premiere featuring the Drama Camp play and all of the behind the scenes fun on August 19 from 3-4pm.  Be sure to bring a change of clothes so you can stay for the Block Party outside from 4-7pm. We will have Food Trucks, live music, bounce houses, face painting and more! Invite your friends to join us for this fun community event as we get to know our neighbors!

  A THOUGHT FROM YESTERDAY'S PASSAGE:

Have you ever lost something very special to you? Maybe the stuffed animal you sleep with every night or the money you received for taking care of your neighbor’s pet? And when you found that prized possession, what did you do? Did you scream with excitement, give your mom a hug, or do a happy dance? Did you throw a big party with all your friends?

Pastor Monty talked about two stories from the Bible where a sheep and a silver coin are lost. The owners go to great lengths to find the lost items. After the items are found, there is a celebration! These stories teach us about God’s character and how he loves us. God has gone to great lengths to find and rescue his people, sinners just like us. He rejoices over every sinner who repents. We should join in and rejoice with him knowing he has brought us into his family as children of God!

CHILDREN'S QUESTIONS & PRAYER REQUESTS:

Children's Questions or prayer requests can be placed in the box on the Children's Table.
